Humor us on the (badly-delivered) pun. “Orange you glad” is a tad overused, and “Oranged marriage” is just too much.

SETTING UP SHOP:
If you’ve been following this blog for a while now, you’ve probably read about Chemistry in one of our posts. It’s this 100% locally produced his-and-hers brand that Love Chic has been invited to design a line for.

The brand won’t be formally launched until later this year, but Chemistry has opened three stores so far: in SM Batangas, SM Sta. Rosa and just yesterday, SM North Edsa. We helped out in setting up the store, located on the third floor of the Annex building. We got to hang, fold and display the stuff as well as dress up the mannequins.

Neither of us has formal education in fashion design, merchandising, or business. Instead of the traditional path, we got into this through passion, instinct and work ethic. While we aspire to train and learn more, we’re humbled and thankful to have been entrusted with opportunities such as this even without the usual “requirements.”

It was so much fun—just like when kids would pretend to be supermarket owners with plastic fruits and cash registers and shopping carts. Except this time, it’s the real deal.

Anyway, if you’re in the area this weekend, SM North Edsa has a three-day sale going on, July 15, 16, and 17. Drop by Chemistry and say hi. We’d be thrilled to meet our readers.
